Scholastic News sought to create digital versions of their magazines with interactive extras. The project was the first step to bringing the magazines online and giving teachers with a whiteboard, computer projection or access to computer labs another way to use the Scholastic News magazine as a teaching tool. The digital version of the magazines allows teachers to zoom into articles, highlight areas, incorporate notes, watch videos and much more. A text-to-talk feature allows students to listen as the magazine is read aloud with highlighted text. The intensive project was completed in just over two months by Pipeline.
